| Although Tom LaSorda isn't specifically a team SRT member, he still plays a big part in every aspect of SRT. Tom was appointed Vice Chairman and President of The New Chrysler in August 2007, reporting to Bob Nardelli, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of The New Chrysler. He also serves as the Vice Chairman of Cerberus Operating and Advisory Company LLC (COAC), Cerberus Capital Management's operations advisory affiliate. In that role, LaSorda will assist in the continuing development of COAC, which works closely with the portfolio companies in which the funds and accounts managed by Cerberus are invested. |
Previously, LaSorda served as President and CEO of the Chrysler Group, a business unit of DaimlerChrysler. In February 2004, LaSorda was appointed Chief Operating Officer for the Chrysler Group. Prior to joining DaimlerChrysler in 2000, he was employed by General Motors Corporation, which he joined in 1977. There he served in many capacities including President of Opel Eisenach GmbH in Germany in 1991.
